Want to know the secret to diet success?

One of the biggest changes I have made in my training over the last few years has been looking closer at my diet. I have always been decently healthy, but also had a major sweet tooth! After visiting a dietitian in 2015 that all changed. I learned about how different food and drinks effected my body, and how much better my body could operate when I managed my diet better. This change has helped me train harder, but also avoid injury. By giving the muscles and joints what they need, I am much less likely to get injured, and am able to push my body to the limit everyday.

train smart….train hard

Alongside my change in diet, I also changed everything about how I trained in 2015. Years of injuries, and improper training, had left my body unable to keep up with my workouts and excercise. The goal became to train not just hard…but also smart. Manage the amount of pounding on the knees that is so common on the concrete court tennis floor, build up the arm strength required to wield the 360 gram rackets, and don’t overdo the fitness training. With the help of Mike Cecchi and Janice Pearson, I have learned to control my training, and more importantly how to take care of my body while training.

Below are some diet recipes and fitness tips I hope you all will enjoy!

Mmm...Delicious!

Need a quick and nutritious meal anytime of day? Try this smoothie, it is one of my favorites! Just mix: Kale, Spinach, Raspberry, Blueberry, Banana, Chia Seed, Honey, Almond Milk, Coconut Water

Remember....#NOPAINNOGAIN

This fitness video takes place on the court, and features what I like to call a “fitness basket”. The idea behind this basket is to alternate corner to corner without stopping for an entire bucket. The person feeding can change the feeds (some short, some to the back wall, some volleys) to keep your feet and hands moving. Try to stay low and see how long you can last!

Advocare? Yes Please!

I am VERY picky about what I put in my body, and it wasn’t until I was introduced to Advocare that I started to take supplements. Since starting, I have seen an incredible rise in my energy, level of play, and all around body feel. Advocare works with more natural products, and is not just about fitness, it is about all around health.

What do I use?

Advocare has become a crucial part of my training, and I always make sure to follow my daily pre, during, and post workout supplement routines. One of my favorite products is the Advocare Spark*.
